Annual events include The Dorney Dash, held by the nearby Datchet Dashers road running club and a number of 5k and 10k runs. The major events have become more and more popular for both participants and spectators. Dorney Lake's open landscape and flat circuit offer ideal conditions for runners and excellent views for the watching crowds.

Dorney Lake has to be the one of the best locations for road running with its pancake-flat, tarmac, traffic-free roads and pathways, ample parking and ease of access. It's definitely a personal best course for all levels of runners and great for spectators who can watch the whole race unfold before them from the balcony.
