Queen's Eyot is a secluded four-acre island on the Thames, a few miles upstream from Windsor. The island is accessed by its own private ferry so it is a perfect and unusual venue for both corporate and private hire. The island has been owned by Eton College since 1923.

Founded in 1990, Human Race is a professional event management agency specialising in staging multisport events. These include triathlons, duathlons and aquathlons, as well as single sport races, especially in running.
The 2005 event in May was the largest one-day regatta ever staged in the UK, with over 655 crews from throughout the UK taking part and 64 trophies to be had.
This regatta was inspired by Charles Dickens and his son, who were both involved with London rowing clubs.
Marlow celebrated its 150th anniversary in June 2005. For some competitors it is the last qualifying event for Henley Regatta soon after.
